Christians in the government? Stock markets and airports? Oh my!;

So, as the stock market took a giant hit yesterday, the job market looks ever-growing worse, and the United States credit got downgraded (which is insane), I felt like this was the perfect time to write a post!

As I was sitting in the airport yesterday waiting to pick up Alivia from her flight (and oh yes, I made a sign for her for when she walked out the gate, i know, I'm good) I realized that, um, America has the tendency to spend way too much money on the unnecessaries. They will spend money on top of the line chandeliers in an airport, but consistently not take care of the homeless people like they should. Honestly, I feel like the government is just impossible to rely on anymore.

Which bring me to a slight discussion point. I'd love to know people's thoughts on Christians in the government? If you look at the life of Jesus he seems to live a life outside of the government, in which the early church lived underneath the government relying on each other and God for their "welfare" check. At the same time, Christians in the government have the opportunity to fight for good in this country.

Remember, Jesus was not only the Christ, but the greatest revolutionary, and rebel of all time. Constantly  going against the grain of the government.

I'd love some thoughts!
